Judd Family Reunion

I love a good family reunion - but this year was extra special. There is not a better hostess on the planet than my sister Barbara. She really out did herself this year. Of course the food was sheer perfection - with so many great cooks in the family you can't miss and Jon and Cindy put everyone to shame in that category. The house was perfect, the yard devine, and the weather couldn't have been better.

It's so good to see all the nieces and nephews and catch up on their lives. Unfortunately most of our children couldn't make it and Paul and Barb and their kids had to miss as well. But those who were there had a great time. Jon always has plenty of stories to entertain, and Jeremy and Angie had some fun "minute to win it" games. What good would a reunion be if you didn't take the chance to embarass yourself in front of the family?

The finale' was some "out of this world" fireworks that we all enjoyed. So, as usual, we over-indulged on the food, laughed 'til we cried, and all went home feeling grateful for such a great family. We love our family!

Road Trippin'....to Kansas

Almost five years, Ed's sister Barbara and her husband Fred along with their three daughters and their families moved to the little town of Frankfurt Kansas. So late in June, we hooked on the "Big Girl" (Ed's new 5th wheel) and headed out around the plains. We stayed a night in Rock Springs with Apryl's family, grabed her two kids and heading out.
We traveled all the way across the great state of Wyoming and lost count of how many Antelope we saw! And then we traversed the entire state of Nebraska - all the way to Lincoln Nebraska. What a beautiful state!
So many huge corn and wheat fields - as far as the eye could see. The further east we drove, the greened it became!

We stopped along the way at rest stops and truck stops and stayed at a wonderful little RV park off the beaten path in Maxwell, Nebraska. We slept to the sounds of bullfrogs and crickets! What a great place!

As we headed into Kansas, we were amazed at the green rolling hills - beautiful with every mile - all 1118 of them! It was a great reunion with Barbara and Fred and the family - we hope to make it an annual trip!

Retirement on Wheels.........

He had a dream. A really big dream. He's been looking and talking and looking for over two years and at last it happened. In February at the RV show, Ed finally found the RV of his dreams! It's a 39 foot beauty - fit for a King ! (and the Queen gets to come along too!) Our kids think we're crazy (mostly because we spending their inheritence) but this is a happy man! Look closely, he's the little guy standing at the back of the "Big Girl". We're looking forward to many, many road trips - who knows, we may visit your neighborhood soon!

Ballet and Baseball.....

With Spring comes warm weather, the melting snow, and softball. We took our annual trek to St. George to watch the Lady Spartans play softball. Kaitlyn loves to play and we love to watch. She had a great season and is looking forward to her senior year on the team. Go Spartans!

Then a quick trip to Rock Springs to watch Abby dance in her spring dance recital - she was absolutely beautiful and brilliant!

Then it's off to the ballpark to watch the boys play ball...
First, Jordan - he's in the "big leagues" now and did a great job as the youngest on his team...

Then it's Canon - boy does he love to play ball. He's the smallest on his team, but one of the best! He even got to try his hand at catcher!

Then it's on to Landon's game. Have you ever seen a happier boy!!! He also go to try catching and loved it.

We love our time watching Ballet and Baseball!

Fun Day in Ephraim

Travis was baptised and we had a great day in Ephraim with the kids. It was a perfect time to snap some pictures of the family while everyone is dressed up - now that doesn't happen every day!!!

The Thomson boys - Brenton, Tyler, Rob, Ed, and Travis - what a handsome group of men!

Sad day in February

After fourteen wonderful years, we had to say goodbye to our dog Sunny. It was almost more than we could bear! She has been a part of our lives for so long, it was tough to let her go. She was so good with kids and Ed's constant farming companion. Camping without her will never be the same. We miss her dearly - she will always be our smiling dog!
There was only one thing we could think of that day - we headed to SLC at met the kids at "Monster Jam"! There's nothing like some monster trucks, cotton candy, and popcorn to help heal a broken heart. We had a great time cheering on "Grave Digger" and "El Toro Loco"! It was loud (ear plugs were a must) and fun!

Our Baby's Prom

Life comes at ya fast - and here we are to Kaitlyn's Prom! Wow - where have the years gone? She was radiant and it was a wonderful evening. Her date was Kody Snow from Salina - they looked great together!

Apryl came from Rock Springs to share in the night - our beautiful girls!!!

Cody Dale was a great partner for the promanade - they danced so well together!

But, of course, her favorite dance partner was her dad. This was a very special night for them both - something they will remember forever! He cleans up good!!!
