Earth's Bounty...

What a happy birthday I had - first I get a wonderful gift from my daughter- a "Bountiful Basket". This was my first time and I was both thrilled and astonished! Food - glorious food!!!! It's a program where you order a basket and they deliver the most beautiful fruits, vegetables, and bread youhave ever seen. We'll be eatin' good in the neighborhood tonight!

Then to top it off, Ed, being the romantic guy that he is, got me a brand new (at least new to us) great big beautiful rock! I was delighted!! Now when I was in high-school the guys (Jed, Kerry, and Tim) called all of the ugly girls "rock eaters". If they could see me now I would really be the butt of their jokes - for I have turned into the ultimate "rock eater". I love rocks of every kind in the landscape and I'm sure we'll be getting many more. God has blessed us with an abundance of rocks here in Emery County so we will make the best of them. They are wonderful - they don't get mad, make a mess, or grow weeds. They just stay where you put them and look good!(If only we could teach husbands to do the same!!!)

Family Fun

It’s been a grueling summer – work, work, and more work. But we did take a weekend and went to Lagoon - compliments of Nielson Construction – thanks Wayne and John! They gave their employees tickets to Lagoon for a day for their summer party. So we hooked up the RV and off we went. We parked by Max and Beth Lopan in their RV and had a great time. Apryl and the kids and Jud and Donte met us there.

From the minute we hit the park the kids just couldn’t get enough. However, right off the bat, tragedy struck – Canon was 2 inches too short to ride the big rides. The bottom lip came out and the tears rolled. Oh the injustices in life are cruel!!! Then, as usual, Grandma got sick on the first ride – with a little help from Grandpa! But the rest of the day was great – sunny and hot and lots of rides. We had a great day – Abby didn’t miss a lick – and neither did Grandpa. He rode them all until his back gave out! Maybe next year we can get all the family there and Grandma can take Dramamine!

A little slideshow of our adventure!
